Academy UK Apprentice Employment Success

Congratulations to Apprentices Alex Knight and Ieuan Price who have successfully secured paid Apprenticeships at Pritchard’s, an established Civils company based in Llantrisant South Wales.

During ARC Academy’s Bootcamp training, Apprentices were given intensive training to include excavation work, powered excavation, control measures in excavation, safe digging practices and safe work practice. They looked at utility drawings to check for live services within the excavation area and were familiarised with method statements, risk assessments and permit to dig.

What our Apprentices say…

“ARC Academy’s Bootcamp was challenging, I was taught so much. Learning takes time and practice so being at Prichard’s I’m getting to apply these new skills and learn on the job. The people I work for are really good, teaching me all about Groundworks and keeping me busy. I’m happy to be in Civils and I think Prichard’s are the best company to work for.” Ieuan Price, 20, Ystrad Mynach

“Becoming an Apprentice has been really good. I worked in a Warehouse before, I find this much more enjoyable and challenging as we are doing something different every day. I hope to stay in Civils and Construction, everyone I’ve met at Prichard’s is easy to get on with, I look forward to coming in to work every day.” Alex Knight, 22, Pencoed
